Gee Gee Images Sponsor Up And Coming Young Rider! * UPDATE None the less, we practiced everyday and were feeling quite good until the day before the championships, when I learned I wouldn't be able to have the tests read to me. Usually I flick through the movements of the test but don't bother to learn it off by heart as I have it read out to me. But this time, not only did I have to ride in a 60m arena for the first time, I also had to learn the test off by heart! To say I started to panic was an understatement! The night before the show, my boyfriend Mike came up from Bristol and we spent all night learning the test, running round the lounge performing 20m circles and changes of rein until I felt confident enough to read them from memory. I swear I was riding the tests in my dreams that night! As I plaited Talos up the morning of the championships, I ran through the test, reading it out aloud - my friends must have though I was barmey, but I had visions of getting into the arena and not knowing where to go, so I had to make sure I knew them. When I turned up at the show ground, I met my aunt Kim Sands (who I believe remarked after the championships that she had never seen me so panicked!) and I got Talos warmed up. Thankfully, my instructor met me to help me warm up - I dont know what I would have done without her! We ran through the tests and soon it was time to go down to the main arena. When we got into the arena we trotted around the outside of the dressage boards and waited for the bell to ring to summon the start of the test - the longest 3 minutes of my life! As we trotted up the centre line, Talos was totally chilled and I felt like he was saying, "Steph, you have done this hundreds of times - what's your problem?" Soon, my nerves melted away and we performed a lovely test with a score of 67% which put us in 6th place. I was so proud of him, as he really tried hard and it was the highest level and hardest test we had ever ridden. His medium trot felt amazing! We received a lovely hamper full of goodies such as treats for Talos, grooming brushes and a t-shirt and baseball cap to name a few. I hope to keep up the good work and enter more dressage competitions this year. I have to thank my aunt Kim who supports in me in every way possible and my instructor Steph Eardley who's expert advice and tuition have enabled Talos and I to achieve things we never thought possible." Stephanie is in her third year at Hartpury College and competes in showing and dressage and has done particularly well recently, qualifying for the Hartpury College Dressage Championships in March. Gee Gee Images Have Moved! * GEE GEE IMAGES offer top quality Show Printing and on-the-day Photography nationwide, and since our launch in March 2003 as equestrian media specialists, we have taken the horse and dog world by storm. In today’s fast moving and often complex market place Gee Gee Images’ knowledge, experience and thorough understanding of the equestrian market is an asset to all size events, all across the country! We have recently relocated from London to new offices in Cambridgeshire, 8 miles from Newmarket. The move is a great benefit to the business which is growing rapidly, and the move will free up that vital extra time that will enable us to provide an even better service! We have a wide client base all across Britain, so the move simply means that it will be easier for us to travel around the country from our new more central location. All our prices will remain exactly as before, and it will not affect the cost of delivering any print jobs around the country! We are already getting booked up for 2006, our Show Administration Package is now very much in demand with the fabulous Sponsorship prize of a top of the range John Whitaker Velvet Show Rug plus other goods that organisers receive as part of the package which also incorporates our FREE on-the-day photography service, the only requirement to the package is that you use our Show Printing service (which is very competitive) — we offer everything from Schedules, Programmes to Race Cards etc, with short runs from 50 to long runs up to 5,000 - plus in black and white to full colour! Gee Gee Images have a National Show Printing Promotion running from September - May 2006, t&cs apply. SPRING 2005 * Gee Gee Images attended BETA's trade fair and gala dinner on 20th February 2005, and on March 1st Gee Gee Images celebrate their second birthday, as they continued to drive the business forward into their third season. WINTER 2004 * Gee Gee Images had a fantastic afternoon on 16th December 2004 entertaining top clients and prospective clients over lunch in our private box at the London International Horse Show, Olympia. Among those entertained were top movers and shakers from the horse world SUMMER 2004 * Director Chloe Giles and assistant Vicky Swain with actor Anthony Head at Riding For The Disabled Association’s 2004 National Championships where we provided our Show Administration Package.
