RING SIZE GUIDE
How to determine your ring size:
1. Cut a strip of paper no wider than 1/4"(5mm).
2. Wrap the paper comfortably around your finger and mark the paper where it meets.
3. Check that it slips over your knuckles without difficulty.
4. Measure the marked length of paper and compare it to the size chart.
This should give you a good idea of your ring size. In general, the rings fall into four size groups:-
Sizes F-J: Children's sizes
Sizes L-P: Small ladies sizes
Sizes R: Average ladies sizes
Larger then average, extra large, men's and thumbs will need to be ordered in.
If your ring falls between sizes, order the next larger ring size.
Wider bands should be sized 1⁄2 -1 size larger.
Please note at present all of our rings are sold in UK whole sizes.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR STERLING SILVER JEWELLERY
Gee Gee Images' sterling silver jewellery is handcrafted to a very high standard of which we are very proud.
We are therefore keen to pass on all relevant information to our customers in order that you can care for and maintain the finish and overall effect of your chosen piece. This should ensure that you enjoy wearing your jewellery for many years to come.
These tips are designed to show you how you will get lasting pleasure from your purchases and bequeaths. By taking a few extra minutes of care or adapting practical advice you can safe guard them for longer.
1 ~ Beauty products can affect jewellery. That little spray of perfume or hairspray can discolour gold or make pearls turn yellow. Put jewellery on after you have used your cosmetics and sprays.
2 ~ Take off your jewellery especially rings when doing household chores or gardening. They could become damaged by knocking out stones or coming into contact with abrasive materials, which discolour metal.
3 ~ Settings can get clogged up with soap and hand cream. Take them off before washing hands and using cream.
4 ~ Heat and hot water can loosen settings where an adhesive has been used. Pearl rings, earrings and pendants have this type of setting be careful with them.
5 ~ Don't wear too many chains at any one time, they will tangle and rub off one another causing damage.
6 ~ Strong smelling foods e.g. fish & onions can tarnish gold and silver.
7 ~ Wear jewellery as much as possible as this keeps the metals bright.
8 ~ Clean your jewellery periodically. An old soft toothbrush is ideal to get into any difficult nooks and crannies with warm soapy water or purchase jewellery cleaning fluid from your jeweller.
Polished Sterling Silver Jewellery
Due to the nature and softness of the metal, sterling silver pieces that have a highly polished finish are prone to fine scratches as a result of normal wear. This can be kept to a minimum with careful wear and regular polishing with cream silver cleaner (e.g. Peak). It is possible to remove more stubborn scratches with a professional polish, which can be done by a reputable silversmith.
Sterling silver is nickel free and is suitable for people who are sensitive to metals. Care must be taken not to expose the silver to perfumes, toiletries, household cleaning fluids and perspiration; these may cause the silver to tarnish. If tarnishing does occur the item should be polished with a cream cleaner or dipped in a silver cleaning solution. These can be bought in supermarkets or department stores. All traces of cleaning solution must be rinsed from the item before it is worn again.
Matt Sterling Silver Jewellery
Sterling Silver jewellery with the matt finish must not be polished in the normal way. A slightly abrasive surface such as a scourer should be used to revitalise the effect. Gently brush the silver in one direction with the scourer to achieve the best results.
To remove any stubborn tarnishing on matt silver please use foam silver cleaner and apply with a sponge. Again these can be bought at most supermarkets or large department stores. The cleaning solution must be rinsed from the product before it is worn again.
Frosted Sterling Silver Jewellery
Cream cleaner and silver dip must not be used on this surface. A mild soapy detergent and soft brush are ideal for maintaining the effect of this finish. Clean the item gently and with care.
Oxidised Sterling Silver Jewellery
This must not be cleaned with a silver cream cleaner or dipped. It will lose its darker finish if it comes into contact with harsh chemicals, resulting in a polished finish.
Cubic Zirconia Jewellery
A cubic zirconia is a man-made gemstone, which has the appearance of a diamond. They can be coloured/ dyed to resemble other gemstones. Cubic zirconias are durable but they do not have the life expectancy of a diamond. If the gemstones need cleaning they should be cleaned gently with mild soapy detergent and a soft brush.
Storage
To minimise jewellery rubbing together use a jewellery box with different compartments, which are well padded or better still, keep them in their individual boxes. Diamonds scratch other jewellery, keep them wrapped up or separate them. Chains constantly knot together but don't tug them. The best way to detangle them is to use a pin and be gentle when separating them.
